Legacy Design

For this project, the client requested a custom design to communicate details about their church life group, Legacy.

I started the design by searching through photos from their group and ultimately landed on this group photo from their summer camp event since it included almost everyone that attended. However this photo was also the lowest resolution option, so in order to work around that I placed it in a Polaroid style frame to make the photo being smaller feel more intentional.

After multiple attempts on the background, I ended up using a black and white marble texture and using blending modes to make it a rose pink color simply because of its uniqueness.

Next, I needed to display all the important information about the group. To make sure the design didn’t feel too cluttered, I displayed the date and time on the bottom of the Polaroid frame. Then I added the name of the group in a distinctive 80’s rock inspired font with a more simple font displaying the tagline and address for the event.

Finally I added the youth group’s logo to the bottom right hand corner for some subtle yet recognizable branding.
